"I think therefore I am" is a statement from philosopher Descartes which ment he could not doubt that he himself existed, as he was the one doing the doubting in the first place. To me, the statement means if your questioning your existance, you are infact existing, thinking, and concious.

David Aleman Adrian Carrillo Per 3-4 9-1-2016 Fixed Mindset vs Growth Mindset The Idea of adapting to change over time can be parallel to different topics. Growth Mindset vs a Fixed Mindset are basically two different mindsets; one is about giving up easily and the other is about facing hard challenges. Carol Dweck is a professor from Stanford. She believes that your education can change if you change your fixed mindset to a growth mindset. She says that children can be taught that the brain is like a muscle that can be grown, “From the article Teachers,Parents Often Misuse Growth Mindset Research.” Growth mindset is when a someone does not like failure and always like a challenge. A fixed mindset is when someone just gives up instead of trying the challenge or task again from the article “Teachers, Parents Often Misuse Growth Mindset Research.” Dweck believes that teachers should start giving more critical feedback. In order to adapt to change over time you will most definitely need a growth mindset. You won’t be getting anywhere with a fixed mindset. For example, if you are working in computer programming and you are doing this one code several times and your boss tells you to code something drastically different. You can't be frustrated and give up because it’s something different, you’ll have to look forward to doing something different and always take a challenge. There are various different scenarios and topics parallel to this. Growth mindsets show character, abilities, creativity, and intelligence. From the article-Fixed vs. Growth, “The Two Basic Mindsets That Shape Our Lives. When you enter a different mindset depending whether it is Growth or Fixed Mindset you enter a new world from the article-Fixed vs. Growth: The Two Basic Mindsets That Shape Our Lives. Children can be affected by what their parent’s say, from the article-Stanford University’s Carol Dweck on the Growth Mindset and Education. Dweck started this research from animals, she wondered if animals reacted like persons and here is what she found, “Later on I also realized that this interest was fed by a past experience of mine. My 6th grade teacher seated us around the room in I.Q. order, and although I did well in that metric it created this fear of falling from grace, of making the mistake of not being as perfect as I needed to be. From the article-Stanford University’s Carol Dweck on the Growth Mindset and Education. The amount of growth vs fixed mindsets are 40% to 40%. In conclusion, kids with a growth mindset try their best to succeed, love a challenge, and never give up on things that are challenging are most likely to adapt to change very easily. Compared to kids with a fixed mindset who give up on everything easily and do not want to try or do anything, can be frustrated with change. Overall you are the one that decides to let your brain branch onto many different things or keep your brain into one strict place. One who does not try will never succeed in life. Having a growth mindset will make you succeed and have a good learning experience through your whole life. "I think, therefore I am."
